My wife, Chris, organised the trip to Kalkan and I was not overly excited at the prospect. However, flying with Halil made the trip more than worthwhile. I booked a flight with him as soon as I could and it was fabulous. So good, in fact, that I went a second time. The second flight was even better, with thermals enabling us to enjoy a nice long flight. Enjoy flying with the birds, seeing hidden valleys in the mountains and a view of the Lycian coast which you'll not get by any others means.A
I've been to Kalkan three times now and on the second visit in 2009 I met Halil after a week Paragliding in Oludeniz. This was supposed to be my chill-out with my girlfriend part of my two week holiday, but I couldn't resist having a fly here too. Halil was very helpful and gave me a site briefing for take-off and landing. He also gave me a lift to take-off on the few days I flew.

Spent a week in beautiful Kalkan for a friends wedding.
4 of the us guys from the wedding party thought we would be adventurous and try the paragliding for which Kalkan is famous for. After visiting some of the companies offering the experience we opted for Tandem Paragliding who seemed the most professional and offered the best insurance. It cost £75 each (they gave us a discount on account there were 4 of us) but would definately recommend not going for ther cheapest option.
